OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE

We are following guidelines and information as set out by the NZ Government, Exercise NZ and DANZ (Dance Aotearoa New Zealand – a support service for dance studios and teachers).

VACCINE PASSPORTS / MASK WEARING

We are happy to report that we are no longer required to scan any My Covid Passes for our classes. Further to this, masks are no longer required, but anyone wishing to wear one will be supported.

Frequent and thorough hand-washing is encouraged prior to class.

Please do not attend class if you / your child is feeling unwell or are still recovering from illness. If you or your child are awaiting a covid test result, you should comply with the government policies regarding self-isolation. Likewise, if a staff member is awaiting a covid test result, they will step down from classes until they return a negative test and their symptoms are gone. We are unable to offer credits or refunds for missed classes due to illness, including Covid-19, as we need to continue to reserve your child’s place for their return. However, a make up session in one of our other classes will be considered on a case-by-case scenario.

If a staff member tests positive for Covid-19, we will follow all MOH guidelines. Every attempt will be made to source a relief teacher so that their other classes can continue until their return. Where relief is unable to be found, a catch up class or credit will be offered as per our standard teacher absence policies.

Please note that we will rely on families notifying us of positive cases and would appreciate it if families could let us know if they will therefore be absent from class. Only positive cases are now required to isolate, but household contacts should complete a daily RAT test prior to coming to class.
