ONSITE CLASSES FOR PRESCHOOLS

Pitter Patter Dance Ltd offer on-site dance classes within preschools / after school care centres and holiday programmes with our fabulous instructors.

Pitter Patter Dance Ltd believes in the holistic principles of Te Whariki and draws from the strands of contribution, belonging, exploration and communication. We also believe in inclusive practice and provide a supportive environment where there are equal opportunities for learning, irrespective of gender, ability, age, ethnicity or background.

Classes are about empowering children and allowing them to creatively learn at their own pace. They are encouraged to learn alongside others and learn that their ideas are valued as they gain confidence and control of their bodies while in a fun environment.

We have a growing reputation for fun, nurturing and professional classes which allow children to go at their own pace and to explore their own creativity. We are highly experienced, with a fantastic team of instructors and have been working in preschools for many years.

We help with promotional material including posters and fliers and all regularly booked centres are given the opportunity to perform in our annual concert held in September which is not only a lot of fun, but also gives parents a chance to see what their wee dancers have been learning and is a continuation of building their confidence. We are also able to work in with each centre for their end of year shows or open days where possible.

Pricing;

We would love to come in and work with your centre and we have a few options available to suit your requirements;

• Hourly Rate –  invoiced to the centre, from $70 + GST per hour, per instructor – you can then decide to either fully or partially subsidise the class for your students or charge them yourselves. Minimum booking is 1 hour and maximum of 10 participating children per class (classes can be divided into age groups).
• Invoicing direct to parents (preschools only) – you provide the space and we handle almost all of the admin for you. With this option, parents are charged directly at $85 per term for 2-3.5yr olds and $105 per term for 3.5-5yr olds (based on a ten week term. There is a minimum of 5 students per class (maximum 10 students per class), with 2 classes running back to back.
• Per Head (after school care / holiday programmes only)– we can tailor a workshop to suit you, whether it is a regular class during the term or a one-off booking during the school holidays, charging from $8+GST per head, per hour with a minimum of 10 children.
• 4 Week Workshop – One hour class per week with 1-2 instructors for up to 30 children. Children will gain an understanding of creative movement and autonomy and control over their bodies through dance-based games, exploration and imagination, focusing on our 7 C’s (detailed below). Children will be awarded with a participation certificate, a fun disco complete with lights, a chance to perform within the preschool to parents and class peers, and a sense of achievement and confidence, along with new skills, development and body autonomy. The cost for this workshop is $1200 inc GST (for 2 instructors) or $700 inc GST (for 1 instructor where support teachers are available). Smaller centres can be negotiated. Additional fees may apply for centres outside of city limits or additional children.
